At last week’s Exco meeting of the Paarl Cricket Club, exciting plans were revealed for the 2021 / 22 season, which all hope will not be affected by the pandemic.
Paarl finished 3rd on the Boland Premier League log at the end of the 2019 / 20 season but were restricted to 5 friendly encounters last season, due to Covid 10 protocols. Coach Manfred De Kock has been contacted by a few exciting new prospects and he plans to get a squad together early in June. Players may call him on 071 898 8265 for more details.
The club’s 30th anniversary will be celebrated with a full day’s activities on Friday 24 September 2021, where the club’s Life Members will be honoured. Two T20 matches (Over 40’s and a Paarl first team) will provide entertainment.
Chairman Garron Arendse also announced that a Six a Side competition is planned for December, while a Drive By fundraiser is planned for Saturday 5th June.
